Job Description: 

The primary role and responsibility of the IT Security Manager is to monitor, identify, and proactively address security issues and changes related to the company’s IT systems.  The IT Security Manager will focus on maintaining compliance with NYDFS and other Cybersecurity protocols as well as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).  The IT Security Manager will also help identify areas of potential improvement for key processes in support of the company’s continuous efforts to monitor the IT environments both internally, as well as the implementation and maintenance of 3rd party systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and point of escalation for IT, computer software and hardware, cloud and internet applications, networks and operating system related requests.
  • Interact with 3rd party vendors and technology leadership team on an on-going basis for business as usual activities and project initiatives.
  •  Proactively monitor and detect Cybersecurity threats to protect the company from intrusions.
  • Perform risk assessments and testing of data processing systems and security enhancements
  • Provide leadership, guidance and training on information security procedures to staff.
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with business managers, partners, operations, and 3rd party vendors, to propose process improvements that will strengthen the overall IT security while increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the implementation, modification and maintenance of 3rd party vendor’s IT systems, relating to Ferrari Financial Services usability. 
  • Perform other ad hoc IT requests and related activities as required.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Educational/Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field

Experience

 

  • 5-7 years’ relevant experience in an IT Manager function or another IT related role.
  • 5 years’ direct experience with and strong knowledge of corporate IT systems and internal controls

 

Licenses/Certifications:   relevant Cybersecurity certification is a plus

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 

  • Applied project management experience with relation to IT projects (ideally at a Financial firm)
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery continuity of operations plans.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing principles.
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud technology AWS.
  • Working knowledge of advanced Excel functions as well as a database application such as SQL Server
  • The ability to write Request for Information (RFI)/ Request for quotation (RFQ)
  • Possess skill to understand business systems and processes
  • Working knowledge and history of handling Cybersecurity threats
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving abilities
  • Emotional intelligent and able to work under stress
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to meet due dates with minimal supervision
  • Ability to independently solve practical problems
  • Acute attention to detail and high quality in all deliverables
