In order to strengthen our Acounting department we are looking to hear a Staff Accountant, based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

 

Ferrari Financial Services, Inc. (“FFS”) is the captive automotive finance subsidiary of the Ferrari Group in the United States, offering a range of financing options to current and prospective owners of new and pre-owned Ferrari vehicles.  In this roel you will be supporting daily accounting tasks, prepare and review financial documents, reports and statements.

 

As part of the team, your main responsiblities will be:

  • Conduct general ledger activities related to Ferrari Financial Services (FFS) business, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and post journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analysis to maintain integrity of financial data.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of financial statements to the Parent company, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
  • Record and monitor all daily cash activities, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Upload and validate daily financing activity entries from the lease/loan administration system into the general ledger, maintaining consistency and reliability in financial records.
  • Timely follow-up with third-party providers regarding accounting and lease/loan administration system inquiries to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Ensure that ACH transfers detailed by third-party providers are accurately credited on FFS bank statements. Immediate investigation and resolution of any discrepancies are required.

  • Aid the Sales, Credit, Operations and Legal Departments as necessary.
  • Interface with FFS tax consultants and Ferrari North America (FNA) accounting departments to coordinate tax-related activities, including Income Tax and Sales & Use Tax.
  • Oversee the daily flow of information to mitigate delays and ensure smooth operations.
  • Regularly apprise the FFS Finance Manager of any potential issues, offering solutions and recommendations where appropriate.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as required to support the accounting team and broader organizational goals.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

 

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Have at least 2-3 years of hands-on accounting work. A solid foundation in general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting is essential. Experience in the automotive industry accounting is highly desirable, but not required. Previous experience in a finance company or financial services environment is a plus.

 

The following skills are required to perform the role: Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel. Familiarity with Flexi financial software is a plus. Possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to effectively manage relationships, resolve issues, and facilitate collaboration across departments. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all financial documentation, reconciliations, and reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
