Crankshaft & Valvetrain Design Specialist (Maranello)

In order to strengthen our Powertrain Department we are looking to hire a Crankshaft & Valvetrain Design Specialist based in Maranello (Italy).

In this position, you will be responsible for:

- Design of engine driveline components and / or for the technical specifications of the component definition
- Starting from the concept study develops the design of every single components 
- Guarantee the optimization in terms of performance , weight saving and/or cost of new parts
- In contact with the supplier for the definition of the component design, developing plan; check of the key milestone data and intermediate results
- Guarantee the max transfer of the components among all the engine families
- Complete with the concept area the technical specification of the component / engine

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. You should ideally have gained at least 3 years’ dedicated experience on the design of driveline parts and in general mechanical components.

In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. 
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
