In order to strengthen our Battery team we are looking to hire a LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) Battery Engineer based in Maranello (Italy). You will work in life cycle analysis (LCA) of materials and processes, with a focus on environmental regulations in EU, USA, China and globally.

The main responsibilities are:


•    Conduct life cycle analysis (LCA) of materials and processes in battery manufacturing for our PHEVs and BEVs, identifying lower environmental impact solutions.
•    Study and assess the environmental impact of batteries throughout their life cycle, from production to use, to end of life.
•    Propose innovative solutions for the company's decarbonisation roadmap, including alternative materials and more sustainable production processes.
•    Carry out analysis and studies to support the R&D team and suppliers on the end-of-life of batteries, exploring options for recycling, reuse, remanufacturing and decommissioning.
•    Collaborate with various corporate and external teams at suppliers to implement sustainable design solutions.
•    Ensure compliance with EU, US, China and global environmental regulations.
•    Write technical reports and documentation related to LCA analyses for regulatory compliance certifications.

 

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Engineering. You should ideally have gained at least 3 years’ dedicated experience in LCA analysis and environmental impact assessment, with a solid understanding of environmental regulation in EU, US, China and globally.
The ability to analyse and interpret complex data and propose innovative solutions is required. Excellent skills in drafting technical documentation and communicating with colleagues and suppliers are essential. The ability to work in a team and collaborate with different business functions is important. In addition, familiarity with Windchill software and knowledge of environmental analysis software/databases (SimaPro) is required.

In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. 
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
