In order to strengthen our Supply Chain Team, we are looking to hire a Material Planner, based in Maranello (Italy). 

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring the timely availability of materials and supporting production continuity in line with contractual agreements and MRP-generated requirements. You will operate across different commodity categories and procurement models, contributing to the efficiency and stability of the material flow while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of European and Extra-European suppliers through different supply models, including open orders, closed orders, subcontracting and consignment stock.
  • Monitoring purchase orders, delivery schedules and supplier performance, proactively managing delays and expediting activities when required.
  • Ensuring material availability to support production plans, quality-related issues and inventory alignment activities.
  • Managing urgent transportation activities to guarantee production continuity in critical situations.
  • Collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality and Purchasing departments to resolve supply-related issues and minimize operational risks.
  • Developing and sharing long-term forecasts with suppliers characterized by long lead times.
  • Managing logistics master data and system parameters to ensure effective material planning and replenishment processes.
  • Supporting operational and administrative activities related to material receiving, spare parts requests and customs clearance processes for extra-EU materials.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of planning processes, inventory management and supplier collaboration.

 

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have a Degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field, combined with previous experience in Material Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain or Procurement within a manufacturing environment.
You should have a solid understanding of material planning processes, supplier management and inventory control, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in managing supply continuity in complex and dynamic environments, interacting with both local and international suppliers, will be considered a significant advantage.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized and able to effectively manage priorities while working cross-functionally with Purchasing, Quality and Engineering teams. A continuous improvement mindset, attention to detail and the ability to react promptly to operational criticalities are key success factors for this role.
Knowledge of planning and ERP systems such as Infor LN and AS400, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate, would be highly appreciated.
Fluency in English is required.

Ferrari Offers:
Compensation Package: The total compensation package, including gross annual salary, company and/or individual variable components, will be in a range between € 50.000 and € 55.000 – with 13 monthly payments. Placement within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, and level of autonomy and responsibility.
