Mechanical Development Quality Responsible (Maranello)

We are looking to strengthen our Quality Department and we are searching for identify an Mechanical Development Quality Responsible, based in Maranello (Italy).
In this position, you will report to Francesco Longo and you will be responsible for execution of Advanced Quality activities for the new products under development contributing to flawless launches and the continuous improvement of current production of the Transmission components, like gearbox, e-axle, PTU, etc.
As part of the team, you will be responsible of:
• Actively participate in the risk assessment of new vehicle under development;
• Manage the analysis of opened issues (including Development, Test Drive and Field) including the corrective actions to solve the issue;
• Prepare the report by involving the Vehicle Regulation Team in case of field issue which could cause an action on field;
• Monitor Field and 0-km Quality deliverables (KPI) vs Target defined per each model;
• Analyse the drawings ensuring the fully alignment to the technical specification prescribed;
• Analyse BOM (Bill of Material) by identifying the new “Archetipi” for which specific DVP& R will have to be defined;
• Actively participate to the design review;
• Define along with Perceived Quality dept. the Appearance Master and/or defects catalogue;
• Actively participate to prepare DFMEA and PFMEA;
• Prepare along with Cross Functional Team the action plan to improve the reliability products;
• Monitor Quality deliverables (KPI) vs Target defined per each Program Gate;
• Define and lead the corrective actions to achieve the Quality Target defined for the vehicle under development;
• Prepare the Quality KPI reporting;
• Drive the continuous improvement by leading the Lesson Learnt.
Required Profile
To perform in the role, the following skills are required: the ability to quickly tackle new problems, identifying skills and resources to be applied within and outside the company, propensity to work both in a team and with personal initiative, proactivity, clarity of communication, desire to challenge the status quo and creativity.
Thorough knowledge of at least one of the mentioned performance attributes is a preference, but not essential.
A background in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent is required. Deep knowledge of automotive core tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D discipline and problem solving methodology), IATF 16949 and also, basic knowledge of component manufacturing processes and process control are required.
It also requires a minimum of 3 years in automotive experience (preferable in OEM) and minimum 1 years of prior quality engineering experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English is mandatory.
