In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a Modelling & Validation Specialist based in Maranello (Italy). 
The target of the Modelling & Validation Area in Vehicle Dynamics is to develop, supervise and grant all the techniques and processes associated to modelling vehicles and components. Goal is to simulate those to deploy targets and requirement at the vehicle and component level. Standardization of techniques is provided by this area which acts as reference to all users involved in the virtual development. Experimental activities, required in order to prove and validate the model output, is also part of the daily activities.

 

You will operate within the Vehicle Dynamics Area, which has the primary objective to model (and maintain) vehicles and components, define standards for simulation and data analysis as well as experimentally prove the quality of the results (validation). You have also to relate to internal and supplier stakeholders. 

 

In this position, you will support the team specifically for: 


•    Create vehicle models in multy body and/or simplified real-time environments 
•    Define test cases and catalogues to simulate vehicle and component models 
•    Define data analysis standards associated to routines for data processing 
•    Evaluate results and validate those by means of experimental test sessions 
•    Support component development like brakes, tires and suspensions in terms of target setting / deployment 
•    Support innovation 


In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent. You should ideally have gained at least 2 years’ dedicated experience in modelling and/or experimental testing activities. Software required are Multy body (MSC Adams) and real time (Vi-Grade or equivalent) vehicle models, Matlab-Simulink, data analysis tools (e.g. Vector Informatik).

 

In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. Teamworking and flexibility to face different tasks with different methodologies within the main topic are important for the role.  
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
