In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a Passive Safety Performance Engineer based in Maranello (Italy).

 

In this position, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Support Innovation team  leading passive safety performance through engineerging analisys, data and video analisys  and suggesting new ideas
  • Support vehicle development teams, leading passive safety activities , managing passive safety performance status, taking in charge mainly the structural behavior of a vehicle through engineerging analisys, data and video analisys  and suggesting possible solutions. 
  • Definition of passive safety targets for a vehicle.
  • Build up activities plan for each vehicle (passive safety relevant)

 

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical / Biomedical / Vehicle Engineering or equivalent. You should ideally have gained at least 5 years’ dedicated experience on development of full vehicle for EU and US market: front sled, side sled and crash test planning. Basic knowledge of CAE technology for crash simulation and understanding homologation rules in the EU and US market are important to manage the activities. 

 

In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. 
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
