To further strengthen our Intellectual Property team, we are looking for a Patent Specialist, based in Maranello.
In this position, your mission will be to support the valorization of Ferrari’s IP assets and the creation and management of the Ferrari patent portfolio, in alignment with Ferrari’s business objectives. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from R&D, Legal, Business, IP, and Central Functions.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Support R&D, Technical Operations, Business, and Legal functions on assigned IP matters, including participation in regular meetings and conducting patent mining activities.
- Conduct patent searches (landscape, patentability, freedom to operate).
- Perform patentability analyses and evaluate patent opportunities.
- Instruct and coordinate activities of external law firms.
- Monitor third-party patents and support strategic decisions and actions.
- Support the Legal Department in drafting and reviewing IP-related clauses in agreements (e.g., research, collaboration, license, supply).
- Participate in Patent Box-related activities, in collaboration with Ferrari Tax, Finance & PMO.
- Manage and update IP documentation, also through the use of specific tools and databases.
Required Profile
In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results in Physics, Engineering, or a related field. A Law degree with a technical background will also be considered.
At least 3 years of experience ideally as Patent Attorney or in the field of Intellectual Property. Qualification or near-qualification as an Italian Patent Attorney, as well as current or future qualification as a European Patent Attorney, will be considered a plus.
