In order to strengthen our Communications team we are looking to hire a Communications Manager, based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. 

 

In this position you will be reponsible for the execution of the Company’s lifecycle automotive/lifestyle media and KOL strategy in order to enhance the internal and external communications of the Company, as well as manage Ferrari North America’s Motorsports Communications for GT and Ferrari Challenge racing and support the Communication Department’s ongoing activities regarding the editorial process (database, media monitoring, analysis), journalists' requests, press fleet management, performance testing, and pitching of stories, photoshoots and projects to support the product range.  

 

As part of the team, your main responsiblities will be:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage product range communication by means of managing photoshoots and other projects to promote the current vehicle range. 

  • Manage test drive out-reach, logistics (insurance/loan agreements/transportation/hand-overs/follow-ups) for media and KOLs including strategic on-track activities for VIPs 

  • Coordinate invitations and travel logistics for International Media Test Drives 

  • Manage regional experiential media test drive programs and performance tests 

  • Manage regional content capture/photo/video  

  • Propose/update target list of target KOLs 

  • Outreach to target media and influencers attendance to promote event platforms (Corso Pilota/Challenge/PBeach) 

  • Manage PRSS fleet  

  • Manage related budgets 

  • Provide media re-caps (launches, programs), competitor benchmarks and best practices 

  • Manage communication strategy and lead agency support for the following Motorsports programs: 

    • Corso Pilota – Ferrari established driving school offering its clients structured teaching and levels of instruction to advance the art and skill of track driving 

    • Ferrari Challenge – The longest running single make client racing series in North America for clients who, not satisfied with just driving their Ferraris on the road, would like to complete on track. 

  • Manage broadcast and support media relations on-site at required Motorsports programs and manage/ monitor relative media database. 

  • Constant monitoring and reporting of media both from Ferrari as well as competition for internal News Summary. 

  • Performs other related duties and activities as required. 

 

In order to succeed in this challenging role a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, communications or similar. 

 

The following skills are required to perform the role: Excellent management, relational and teambuilding skills, at least five years of experience in the role and within the communication and/or marketing areas, as well as at least 3 years of managerial experience.  Experience in a similar role in luxury/automotive would be advantageous.  Knowledge and a passion for motorsports and the ability to manage complex projects from planning through execution, demonstrating strong problem-solving and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional interpersonal communication, organizational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential, as is the capability to engage with all levels of management, media, and key opinion leaders. A strong work ethic, integrity, and proficiency in Italian are also highly valued.
