In order to strengthen our engineering team Trims&Composite Purchasing Team we are looking to hire a Buyer Trims&Composite Specialist, based in Maranello (Italy).

 
In this position, will be responsible for selecting and maintaining relationships with suppliers, securing favorable contracts and prices, ensuring optimal inventory levels, ensuring materials meet quality standard, managing budgets, placing and tracking orders; all the activities have to by compliant with the purchasing strategy. 
Overall, the Direct Materials Buyer plays a vital role in the supply chain, contributing to the efficiency and profitability of the manufacturing process by ensuring that the necessary materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, with the right Quality level, and at the right cost. He also contributes to the sustainability path according to the Ferrari guidelines. 


As part of the team, you will be responsible of:

  • Supplier Research and Selection: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships.
  • Price Negotiation: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions to secure the best value.
  • Purchase Order and Contract Management: Issue and monitor purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and economic conditions for informed purchasing decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, finance, and marketing departments.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage supply contracts.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports and analyses on purchasing activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with legal and company regulations.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain positive supplier relationships and resolve disputes.

 

Required Profile

 

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Economics or Management Engineering and you will have gained at least 2 years dedicated experience in Purchasing.
 
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to think analytically, target-oriented and structured. You need to demonstrate strong communication skills (such as the ability to listen as well as in-depth reasoning). You will be expected to work independently as well as integrate as part of a team. We require attention to the detail and awareness of the responsibility that comes with your role. You are motivated to adapt to and learn from the company culture. It goes without saying that you relish a challenge.


The effective completion of your daily tasks requires you to be a proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook). 
Fluent English is required.
