In order to strengthen our EE Architecture & System Integration Area inside Electrics & Electronics Systems Dept team, we are looking to hire an Electric / Electronic Diagnostic Engineer based in Maranello (Italy). 
The ideal candidate is an enthusiast of electric and electronic systems with a strong understanding of diagnostic tools, their methodologies, and best practices. 

 

In this position, you will be responsible for:

 

 

  • Development, implementation, and validation of diagnostic strategies to ensure the reliability of all the ECUs of the EE department.
  • Design and validate diagnostic algorithms and procedures for effective system monitoring and fault detection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including After-Sales technicians, ECU Tier-1, ECU component responsible, Manufacturing Technologies technicians, EE System Architects, EE Testing Engineers etc. to ensure seamless diagnostic integration across the entire vehicle lifecycle.
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems issues identified through diagnostic procedures. 
  • Create and maintain diagnostic documentation and tools, including test plans, reports, and user manuals, ensuring clear communication and usability for internal teams and external partners.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance diagnostic processes and tools.  

 

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Ph.D or Master-degree in Electronic, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Automation Engineering or equivalent. You should ideally have gained at least 5 years’ dedicated experience in industry standards and regulations related to the automotive diagnostics. Proven knowledge on network communications protocols (CAN/FD, LIN, Ethernet) and their role in diagnostics, both from the physical and functional point of view: topology, protocols, communications stack, signal & wiring constraints. Familiar with laboratory equipment & Data-Traffic analysis tools (CANAlyzer, CANoe, TraceRoute, Wireshark) is an asset. 
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. 
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
