In order to strengthen our Thermo-Fluid Dynamics Department we are looking to hire a Hybrid Air Conditioning & Cooling Specialist based in Maranello (Italy). You will will implement and define the software logic dedicated to the control of cabin thermal comfort and thermal management in hybrid and electric vehicles.


In this position, you will be responsible for:


•    Implement in the software the logic shared with the Performance Engineer and the System Engineer.
•    Generate solutions consistent with development and validation timelines for the software production release.
•    Follow the vehicle development plan, initially supporting the System Engineer during Wind Tunnel tests and then the Performance Engineer during calibration tests both in the Tunnel and on the Road.
•    Provide input for ECU sizing requirements (Micro, static memory, dynamic memory, MIPS, etc.) for supplier scouting purposes.
•    Interface with ECU suppliers and those responsible for low-level software development, ensuring correct software implementation.
•    Collaborate with the Performance Engineer and colleagues from Electrical and Electronic Systems (SEE) in writing specifications.
•    Draft the software description document containing all necessary information for troubleshooting, write test methodologies for software validation, and organize the software archive, keeping track of all changes made.
•    Interface with SEE and Vehicle Durability departments, following and coordinating software debugging, first on the bench and then in the vehicle.
•    Interface with the main stakeholders involved in vehicle development (Performance Engineer, Vehicle Engineer, test drivers, etc.), prioritizing a systemic approach to anomaly management.


In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. You should ideally have gained at least 3 years’ dedicated experience in the development of control logic for complex systems in the industrial field, preferably in the automotive sector.
Specific technical skills are required for the role: C-Coding, Matlab/Simulink, AutoSar, CANOE, Canalyzer, Diagnostic protocols (UDS), Communication protocols (LIN/CAN), embedded systems hardware interfacing.
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities.
