NVH & Sound Quality Performance Internship (Maranello)

In this exciting position, you will support the NVH & Sound Quality Performance Team in innovating and advancing methods for the following activities:
• Performance target definition process,
• The definition of components to be used to achieve targets,
• The validation of performance via simulation models or prototype cars.
You will work in the NVH & Sound Quality Team and will interface with various business entities such as R&D and external suppliers.
Required profile
You will ideally be a recent graduate or a Master student (eligible for internship) or in your final year in Mechanical or Vehicle Engineering. Additional degrees of interest are Electronic, Computer, Audio, Music and Acoustic Engineering and related.
You will not only have a passion for automotive and innovative solutions, but also already gained initial experience through internships or projects that allow you to understand the business complexities and help you to develop your personal and communicative skills.
You have a genuine interest for the latest technology trends in Acoustics and Structural Dynamics and a solid background on Signal Processing theory. Two paths are then available inside the team: one is on Sound Quality, where you know about ICE performance, intake and exhaust lines or for EV have already used audio software/equipment (even better if you also have musical background or play a musical instrument); the other is on NVH, where you have a strong understanding of structural dynamics, possibly having had first contacts with experimental modal analysis or TPA using Siemens LMS Test.Lab related to road noise, ride comfort or powertrain noise and vibration.

You need to demonstrate strong communication skills (such as the ability to listen as well as in-depth reasoning). You will be expected to work independently as well as integrate as part of a team. The effective completion of your daily tasks requires you to be a proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
