In order to strengthen our Logistic Department, we are looking to hire a Powertrain Material Planner based in Maranello (Italy). In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring the timely procurement of components in line with contractual agreements and production requirements generated by our MRP system. You will oversee different categories of components, each with distinct supply chain logics, including project-based, generic, and consumption-driven materials. You will also be accountable for maintaining and updating logistics parameters for each supplier, guaranteeing accurate planning and optimal stock levels to support our world-class production.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a supplier portfolio using MRP and SIC order systems.
- Overseeing orders for consumable materials.
- Managing suppliers for work and sales contracts related to make products within the mechanical division.
- Conducting cross-functional activities such as systemic shortage analysis and invoice block resolution.
- Performing monthly rotating inventory analysis for accounting and subcontracting warehouses.
- Organizing dedicated transport from suppliers to Ferrari, and between Ferrari tiers when required.
- Identifying and monitoring supply risks that may impact vehicle production plans, collaborating with relevant departments to resolve issues.
- Verifying supplier production capacity aligns with ramp-up and daily peak requirements, communicating constraints to production planning.
- Setting logistics parameters and delivery schedules for managed suppliers.
- Resolving issues related to: anomalous documents during material receipt, spare parts requests in line with company targets, invoice verification, uncommitted WIP stock, systemic shortages, abnormal consumption, and more.
In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. At least 2 years’ dedicated experience in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Production Planning, or Quality. Previous experience in automotive or manufacturing environments will be considered an asset.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast-changing environment. Excellent communication skills, accountability, and a proactive approach to proposing new solutions to optimize processes and activities.
Fluent English is required for the position; Italian language skills are an advantage. Experience outside your country of origin is appreciated, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
