In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a Suspensions Design Specialist based in Maranello (Italy). You will be responsible for ensuring the complete in-house project and process development of the assigned suspension components and systems, meeting quality, performance, weight, time and cost targets. For components in production, activities will focus on the management of planned interventions during the vehicle life cycle, cost reduction and quality maintenance.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure, throughout project development, the technical feasibility, robustness, assemblability of components and quality of technical documentation, coordinating engineering and product suppliers when necessary. Highlight any critical issues or non-conformities with the Design/Experimentation Standards, proposing corrective actions to achieve the assigned objectives.
- Manage the execution of project/installation FMEAs with risk assessment and support process FMEAs • Prepare the necessary documentation for technical changes, request their evaluation, support the RPA in the approval and ensure the release of related drawings. Monitor the implementation of changes in production, respecting agreed timescales and methods, interfacing with the appropriate bodies.
- Collaborate with the Setup Team in the Hand Over phase of the technical solution, ensuring compliance with the weight, time and cost objectives of the assigned component/system, using the company tools provided.

- Ensure the availability and completeness of the documentation required to initiate sourcing (e.g. target costs, product sheet, sourcing request, mathematics and CAD drawings) and keep it updated and aligned to the final sourcing description.
- Contributing, in collaboration with RPA and experimental bodies, to the definition of the deliberation plans for the assigned system, respecting development timeframes and minimising possible test ‘loops’.
In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Engineering or equivalent. You should ideally have gained at least 3 years’ dedicated experience in one or more of the following areas: R&D, Program Management, Testing. Basic technical knowledge of vehicle suspension development and good knowledge of CATIA CAD and PLM Windchill are required to manage the activities for the role.
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities.
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
